Work with us

Victoria Educational Organisation was established in 1965, and is renowned for offering high quality bi-lingual and tri-lingual education to children aged 1-6 years of age, including playgroup. We have nine Nurseries / Kindergartens in Hong Kong. All our kindergartens are IB World Schools.

 

Class Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters and develops the abilities, social skills and understanding of children aged one to six years for their optimum development and preparation for primary school education.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the requirements of the Curriculum that includes experiences and activities that are challenging but achievable.
  • Plan the classroom environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching.
  • Interact with and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and help them achieve the learning outcomes.
  • Work in close conjunction with other members of staff.
  • Meet requirements for the observation, assessment and recording of children’s development.
  • Attend a number of events outside usual school hours, e.g. Graduation Ceremony, Sport Day, etc., and get involved in school activities and special projects.

 

Requirement:

  • Sound Early Childhood practice (2 years old to 6 years old)
  • Be an open-minded, cooperative and responsible team member; embracing the diversity within the school community
  • Have a warm, supportive attitude toward all the staff, children and their parents
  • A proven record of being an outstanding practitioner in the classroom

 

Playgroup Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters and develops the abilities, social skills and understanding of children aged 8 months to 2 years for their optimum development and preparation for pre nursery or kindergarten school education.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in line with the requirements of the Curriculum that includes experiences and activities that are challenging but achievable.
  • Plan the classroom environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching.
  • Interact with and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and help them achieve the learning outcomes.
  • Establish a relationship with children to facilitate learning and develop a relationship with their parents/caregivers.
  • Work in close conjunction with other members of staff.
  • Meet requirements for the observation, assessment and recording of children’s development.
  • Attend a number of events outside usual school hours, e.g. Graduation Ceremony, Sport Day, etc., and get involved in school activities and special projects.

 

Requirement:

  • Sound experience in teaching Playgroup (8 months to 2 years old)
  • Be an open-minded, cooperative and responsible team member; embracing the diversity within the school community
  • Have a warm, supportive attitude toward all the staff, children and their parents
  • A proven record of being an outstanding practitioner in the classroom

 

Supply Teachers

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker
  • Permanent HKID holder / have a valid visa in Hong Kong
  • Possess relevant undergraduate degree and with recognized teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education) or (A Bachelor Degree plus PGCE / PGDE qualification or equivalent)
