Action is an essential part of young children’s learning. Through exploration, children gradually develop an understanding of the different needs within the community. As members of the community, they are also willing to show care and support for others through small but meaningful actions.
During the St. Barnabas’ Society & Home Flag Day, everyone participated enthusiastically. From collecting the flag bags to the actual flag‑selling day, we could see many moments of the children’s active involvement. At school, they carefully helped distribute the flag bags and encouraged one another, looking forward to holding their parents’ hands to complete their little Saturday mission. Outside the campus, they bravely greeted passers‑by and kindly asked whether they would like to support the flag‑selling activity, using real actions to help those in need. The cooperation and support among children, parents, and teachers not only nurtured the children’s sense of care, but also deepened their understanding of what it means to be part of a community.
