Staff Development Day: A Deep Dive into ‘Evidencing Learning’
We wanted to share a little about our recent Staff Development Day, where our entire teaching team came together to focus on a very important topic: how we can best understand and support your children’s learning.
The day was centred around an IB Primary Years Programme workshop titled “Evidence of Learning.” Our teachers engaged in rich discussions about the vital role of assessment, exploring strategies to refine our current methods and principles for capturing a genuine picture of what children know, understand, and can do.
This was followed by an in-house sharing session, where our teachers exchanged insights and reflected on their practices. This collaborative professional dialogue was a wonderful opportunity for our team to deepen their skills.
We believe that by learning together, we grow stronger together. Days like these are so valuable as they energise us and provide new inspiration, helping us to create the very best start for all our children and making our school a happy, exciting, and inspiring place to learn and grow.
