Dear Parents,
The Victoria Educational Organisation Parent-Teacher Association (“PTA”) is very pleased to organise a “Mexican Art and Handicraft Workshop” for our Lower Kornhill Campus families. The workshop will be faciliated by “Chicaca Culture”, an organisation dedicated to promoting Latin American culture in Hong Kong. The workshop will include storytelling of Frida Kahlo, one of the most famous Mexican painters, and the making and breaking of piñata, a traditional Mexican paper art. Piñata is a paper mache container filled with toys and candies that will be hung up during festive events or birthday celebrations. Participants will use a stick to break open the piñata until all the toys and candies fall down. We hope by participating in such a special workshop, students and parents can spend a pleasant morning immersing in the Mexican cultural vibe!

Fee: $250 for PTA member, $350 for non-PTA member (The above fee includes one handmade piñata and some candies for each student. Parents may exercise their discretion whether to allow their children to eat the candies at home.)
